Eligibility Criteria:
CBSE 12th Compartment Exam
·         Only those candidates who failed in one subject are eligible to apply.
·         Candidates cannot apply for more than one subject.
·         Candidates will be given three chances to clear their compartment exam
·         First one will be in July 2018
·         Second one in March/April 2019
·         Last chance will be in July 2019.
·         Candidates failing in two or more subjects are not eligible for the exam.
·         Candidates may apply as a Private candidate for the exam (in two or all subjects) which will be held in March 2019.

CBSE 10th Compartment Exam:

·         Students who have appeared in Class 10th exam and are placed in EIOP (Eligible for Improvement of Performance) category are eligible for the exam.
·         Applicants who are placed in EIOP category will be given only one chance to appear in the exam.
·         If a candidate fails to clear the exam and gets NIOP (Not Eligible for Improvement of Performance) in their CBSE Compartment Result 2018, then he/she cannot appear in the second chance.


Note: 
CBSE Improvement Exam is different from Compartment Exam.
Improvement Exam can be given by only those students who have passed their Board Exams but are not satisfied with their marks.
CBSE Compartment Exam can only be given by the students who failed in one of their subject.

How to Apply for CBSE Compartment Exam 2018:
·         Application Form Process for regular and private candidates are different.
·         Regular candidates need to apply directly to their schools.
·         Private candidates need to fill their CBSE Compartment Form through the official website.
·         First of all, Visit the official website www.cbse.nic.in.
·         Click on “Online Application for Class XII Compartment / Class X Improvement of Performance Exam”.
·         Press on to “Online Submission of LOC for Compartment/IOP Exam 2018” or “Online Application for Private Candidate for Comptt/IOP Examination 2018”.
·         Select a suitable link as per your class i.e. 12th or 10th Class.
·         Enter Roll Number, School Code, Centre Number
·         After filling the details press on “Proceed” Button.
·         Upload the scanned copy of your photo and signature.
·         Press on to fee payment option.
·         You can pay the fee via demand draft or e-challan.
·         After making the payment click on “Submit” button
·         At the end take printout of confirmation page.
·         Send your documents to the address of regional office within 7 days.
